Events/Donation Request

At the Mount Bakery we’re all about food, community and bikes! And it shows in the events we host, sponsor and donate to. To request a donation, please fill out the form at the bottom of this page.

 Events We Sponsor

TOUR DE FRANCE

Our signature event each year is the Tour de France during which we screen the race live in the wee hours of the morning, serving caffeine, hot-out-of-the-oven pastries and a whole lot of biking excitement.

BELLINGHAM BIKE-IN

Mount Bakery is also proud to be a co-producer with our neighbor The Pickford Film Center of the Bellingham Bike In. Every year we celebrate the beauty and fun of bicycles with food, drink, music and bike-themed movies and the Show & Shine where Bellinghamsters come and show off their two wheeled beauties. This year, come by on Friday August 17th, 2012 at 7 pm for a beer garden and music by the local band Smokewagon, followed by the Show and Shine – come bring your beautiful bike you could win a prize!! And then a late night showing of David Byrne’s Stop Making Sense! We LOVE this event and will be there with fresh baked cookies and chocolate cookie sundaes made with Mallard ice cream! Don’t miss it! See all this year’s info at http://www.smore.com/qung-bellingham-bike-in-2012.

BITE OF BELLINGHAM

Join us for the 7th annual Bite of Bellingham where we will compete for Sweetest Sweet against all the finest eateries in town! Above you can see last year’s fabulous lemon tartlets with blueberries. The festival will take place on the 1300 block of Cornwall Avenue (the corner of Cornwall and Holly). There will be music by local bands and a Kid’s Corner with an array of fun activities!

AND MORE!

Along with other downtown businesses, Mount Bakery also sponsors and sells food at the summer music series Downtown Sounds. Held just outside the café in the heart of the Arts District, Downtown Sounds is an all-ages music and dance party for the whole of Bellingham. For more info, see http://www.downtownbellingham.com/

Mount Bakery also participates in Soup for Shelter, an annual fundraiser, where local restaurants provide and serve soup to raise money to help at-risk, runaway and homeless youth. This year Mount Bakery won the event’s “Best in Show” for Coconut Curried Butternut Squash and Apple Soup created by Jim and Sam!

 Requesting a Donation

Thank you for thinking of Mount Bakery for your donation request! Every month, we make up to $500 in food and monetary contributions to our community. We get several requests every month so space fills up quick!

A couple perimeters to outline who we are looking to donate to and what organizations are given preference:

  • Your event or organization must be located within Whatcom County.
  • Preference given to charitable, non-profit organizations and fundraising events benefitting the needy, disabled, children, animals, education, and the arts.
  • Examples of items we donate: gift certificates, our famous Belgian Chocolate truffle cakes (perfect for your dessert dash!), and select baked items such as cookies and scones (due to the high cost of production, items such as croissants, breakfast pastries, layer cakes, and shortbread cookies are not up for donation)

For larger donation requests, we often offer a partial donation with a partial purchase price at wholesale cost.

All donations will be made available for pick up at our Mount Bakery Fairhaven.

Please make your request using the form below. We now get so many requests that we can no longer respond by phone. Once you have contacted us, please allow at least 10 days before re-emailing, so that we may have time to fully consider each request.  Thanks again for your good work!
